Management is really broad, which is good in that there is a lot I could do with it, but we need to find an area that I have an interest in going into. I thought, “Where do I start in finding that?” I am so glad to have somebody like my faculty mentor and business administration professor, Susan Murphy, PhD to guide me into a field that I have interest in so I am not lost after graduation. I am so grateful for the time and concern she has in helping me find a future career.

The business classes I took at Cal Lutheran helped me sharpen my time management skills, as well as learning to collaborate in groups. My major also helped me because the sports industry is a business. Behind the glitz and glamor, the people working behind the scenes, like myself as a Soccer Operations Coordinator for Angel City Football Club, must put in a lot of work to make things happen. Ultimately, finding success in this position isn’t about your major or accomplishments through college, it’s about being willing to learn and contribute any way you can.
